MLS Committee :
Purpose: To oversee the operation of the JBOR Multiple Listing Service
Professional Development (Education):
Purpose: To facilitate educational activities of the Board in order to maintain and enhance the professionalism of REALTORS and to provide for the orientation of new members.
Purpose: To promote REALTORS as the Voice of Real Estate. To increase membership in the Board of REALTORS and retain present membership. To increase membership and involvement of affiliate members and recognize those members who have worked to enhance the professionalism and image of REALTORS. Bell Ringing, Food Drive, Meals on Wheels are some of the projects of this committee.
Program (Luncheon Speaker):
Purpose: Plan events of educational and timely value for the general membership meetings of the Board, and special social events.
Legislative: Government Affairs:
Purpose: To create a political awareness among members through political seminars and educational materials and to promote REALTORS active participation in politics on all levels. To review proposed legislation. To recommend legislation to be sponsored to assist in staunchly defending the precious constitutional rights to private property.
Purpose: To develop sources of financial support from the membership of the Board of REALTORS which may be used to support those candidates for public office deemed most qualified in terms of experience, integrity and value in the protection of Private Property Rights.
Technology Task Force:
Purpose: To search and evaluate technology that will support and enhance members’ business. Also, to evaluate technology to improve communication at NDAR and among members.
Business Partner’s Appreciation:
Purpose: To plan and implement a Thank You event for JBOR's Business Partners
Realtor of the Year:
Purpose: To select a member from our Board who has been nominated and met the criteria for the local REALTOR of the Year honor.
